WHAT IS LATISSE®?
With the generic name bimatoprost, LATISSE® is a medication that is derived from prostaglandin, a naturally occurring substance in your body. It makes the lashes grow thicker, longer, and darker. It is used to treat thinning lashes and create a fuller lash line.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A CONSULTATION?
Dr. Joseph McKeown will perform a physical exam and look closely at your eyelids and lashes. He will let you know if you are okay to use LATISSE®. He will then proceed to write you a prescription so you can purchase LATISSE®.
What happens while using LATISSE®?
LATISSE® is believed to prolong the active growth phase of your eyelashes.
HOW IS LATISSE® APPLIED?
Originally formulated as glaucoma eye drops, LATISSE® can be applied using a thin brush on the upper lash line. If it drips onto your eye, you do not need to panic. It is relatively safe, but it must never be directly applied to the eyes.
It must not be applied to the lower eyelashes. Instead, it is naturally transferred from the upper lashes to the lower lashes through blinking.
What results should I anticipate?
The onset of effect of LATISSE® is gradual. In clinical trial, the majority of LATISSE® users saw significant improvement within two months of starting.
It is important that before using LATISSE® that you read about the product and its possible side effects. Ask your physician if you have had any previously diagnosed eye pressure problems or are currently taking any medication for eye pressure or have risk factors for glaucoma.
What can I expect post-use of LATISSE®?
While using LATISSE® you may continue to wear mascara and your lashes should grow longer, thicker and fuller over time. The stopping of LATISSE® may return your lashes back to their previous appearance over time.
