Skin Care Clinic

Your skin is a reflection of your health, which is why it’s so important to visit a skin care clinic regularly. Paying attention to your skin is vital, especially as you age. It helps to be proactive and learn about skin care treatments you may need. At our skin care clinic in Richmond, we offer a number of treatment options.

Skin Care/Analysis

Skin varies from person to person. What worked for one patient might not work for you. We perform skin analysis so we can provide a customized course of treatment for your unique skin issues. During the consultation, we will ask about your current skin care regimen, areas of concern, and goals for your skin.

After the consultation, you can expect a carefully outlined treatment plan for your skin based on your problems, goals for your skin, the products you like, and the treatments we feel will improve your skin. Our esthetician here at our skin care clinic will be available to respond to all questions.

Chemical Peels

Our medical esthetician formulates chemical peels to reduce the appearance of surface lines, address redness and discoloration, smooth rough skin, and clear blemished or acne-ridden skin with minimal downtime. Peels can contain hydroxyl acids, resorcinol, salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid, skin brighteners, polyphenol antioxidants, and retinol.

After the peel treatment, you should moisturize your skin, avoid direct sunlight, apply sunscreen with the recommended SPF, and reapply sunscreen regularly.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion reveals your skin’s youthful glow without using invasive or surgical techniques. It helps reduce crow’s feet, fine lines, acne discoloration, and age spots. It works effectively on both dark- and light-skinned individuals. Microdermabrasion uses crystals to remove the skin’s outer layer and make way for younger-looking and healthier skin underneath.

It usually takes less than an hour to complete a microdermabrasion session, which should be repeated 5-12 times, with 2-4 weeks in between sessions. Microdermabrasion works as it stimulates new cell production in the basal layer, improves blood flow, and unclogs the pores.

Microdermabrasion has no downtime, so you can resume normal activities if you avoid direct sunlight and wear sunscreen.

Laser Treatment

Our skin care clinic offers a number of laser treatment options, including FotoFacials™ for the body, face, hands, and neck. These use Polaris™ and Aurora™ lasers, which require no downtime. FotoFacials™ treat hyperpigmentation, rosacea, wrinkles, sun damage, and skin laxity.

We offer laser hair removal with the Aurora™ laser, which works on any hair color and skin type. Its laser targets the hair follicles by disabling them, stunting their growth, and preventing hair growth permanently after usually 4-8 treatments.

Our laser acne treatment relies on Aurora™ laser, which kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces sebum production. This combination reduces acne and encourages fast recovery from acne.

Latisse

Latisse stimulates eyelash growth. It is applied by spreading a single drop of Latisse on the upper eyelashes so they can grow thicker, fuller, and longer. Many Latisse users reported noticing significant improvements two months after starting their treatment.
